Visiting assistant Professor of Spanish, native/near native speaker, Ph.D. in hand by August 2012, sought for a term position (one year, renewable) beginning in Fall 2012. Generalist with areas of special interest including literature, instructional technology and cultural studies. Candidate will teach language, literature, and culture at undergraduate and M.A. levels. Teaching load: six courses per year. Commitment to scholarly research and summer study abroad programs. Successful candidate will value diversity in all it dimensions, and consider different cultural perspectives in solving problems in this area. 2. Convocatoria

The VI International Conference of the Association of Hispanic Humanities, in memory of Dr. Teresa Valdivieso, will take place in Madrid from June 28thto 30th, 2012. The theme will be “Literature and Film: The Bicentennial of Iberian-American Independence and of the Constitution of Cadiz.” Those interested in participating can propose either individual presentations of no more than 20 minutes; or sessions, panels or round table discussions of 90 minutes of less.
