| Querida membresía, ¡Por fin hemos llegado a fin de curso! Este mes me han llegado pocos mensajes para difundir. Sin embargo, entre ellos encontrarán unos muy significativos. Ya que se nos acerca el mes de enero, no se olviden de que la cuota anual de la membresía vence el 1 de enero del año en curso. La fecha límite para el pago la cuota es el 15 de marzo. Los pagos de la cuota de membresía después de esta fecha incurren en un aumento de 12 dólares. Se ruega a los miembros de la AILCFH que cumplan el pago de la cuota anual a principios del año para asegurarse que reciben los dos números de la revista de la AILCFH Letras Femeninas. Presentations will highlight scholarship, activism, interdisciplinary perspectives, transnational and translocal processes, and different sites of knowledge production. The symposium will also provide a space to engage historical and contemporary debates and contributions. We hope you can join us! Keynote speaker: Professor Dorothy Roberts, University of Pennsylvania Dorothy E. Roberts, J.D., is George A. Weiss University Professor of Law & Sociology, Raymond Pace & Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander Professor of Civil Rights, and Professor of Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She is an acclaimed scholar of race, gender and the law, and her work in law and public policy focuses on urgent contemporary issues in health, social justice, and bioethics, especially as they impact the lives of women, children and African-Americans. Puestos Académicos/ Academic Jobs TENURE TRACK POSITION Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies, University of Massachusetts Amherst Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure track, to begin Fall 2014 The Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Department (http://www.umass.edu/wost) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise broadly on environmental/ food justice or sustainability including those focusing on climate change, reproduction, or migration. The University of Massachusetts and the Western Massachusetts region have been national leaders in developing research and activist resources in sustainability, food justice, and environmental justice. Qualifications: PhD required by 9/2014 in field of or related to natural, social sciences or humanities, or interdisciplinary work. Ability to teach core Women’s Studies courses; teaching experience required. Annual teaching load: two courses per semester. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
